99 riders particpated to raise money for the Casting for Recovery, East Tennessee Program.
The Turning Leaf Tour is a road cycling event that will assist Casting for Recovery fund their annual retreat for 14 women who have experienced breast cancer, living in Tennessee, especially women living in East Tennessee, at no cost to the participant.
The first event had three distinct rides, all starting at the Townsend Visitors Center during the height of the beautiful fall colors.
- The shortest route was the 10- mile Greenway through Townsend.
- More adventurous riders, could choose 30 mile road ride through the beautiful Smoky Mountains.
- More experienced riders were offered 50 mile road course through the colorful foothills of the Smoky Mountains.
The first 100 registrants were eligible to win door prizes.
The ride routes were planned by Martin Coleman of RaceDay events.
